Well...haven't dated in a while, by choice, so making a New Year's resolution to make an effort in 2010. It's actually been so long since I've had a serious boyfriend that the rumor at work is that I'm a lesbian! Since I'm not, I figured I should take that as a wakeup call and broaden my horizons.

I am a graduate of Auburn University in Secondary English Language Arts Education. I teach high school English, and I love every minute of it. I'm a big nerd...I played saxophone in the Auburn University Marching Band, and I read voraciously. I used to be very into video games. A lot of my childhood was poured into them. While I don't play them nearly as much anymore, I still like playing pretty much any game with friends.

If I could do anything more often, it would be running around outside climbing trees, jumping from rock to rock, swimming, and just enjoying the outdoors with friends.

I feel obligated to write this in: That atheism bit in my profile doesn't mean I'm a tainted or marked person. I am not evil, in fact from what I've seen I tend to do the right thing more than most. I was a Christian once. I just got to a point where I couldn't continue to call myself intelligent or freethinking without seriously questioning what I had been taught and reinforced with over the years. I have read into the Christian faith far more than most Christians, so it's not for lack of experience. I have no qualms with Christianity, or Christians. I do, however, have a problem with people saying they believe in one thing while living a completely different lifestyle. That's being two-faced. "Grrr" noise.
